LUX is officially launching its new liquid hydrogen test facility in Oxford, a first-of-its-kind site designed to accelerate the UK’s transition to a hydrogen-powered economy.
Purpose-built to test hydrogen storage, flow, and integration technologies in real-world cryogenic conditions, the facility provides critical infrastructure for advancing zero-emission solutions across energy, transport, and industry. It will serve as a national hub for innovation, helping partners fast-track development, reduce deployment risks and costs, and scale viable hydrogen systems.

Launch Day Programme
Guests will be welcomed with a networking reception before hearing from LUX leadership and industry partners in a keynote session and Q&A. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will mark the official opening, followed by open access to the facility and a range of interactive exhibitions.
Attendees will be able to explore the Hydrogen Gallery, the Test Facility showcase, and industry partner displays, as well as enjoy hands-on experiences such as making cryogenic ice cream and a live liquid nitrogen demonstration.
